We
keep all the entries and cover sheets filed in ring binders. Please help
us by not sending poems or entrant details on postcards, small scraps of
paper, or anything else that can't easily be punched and filed. Our
system revolves around A4. |

Entering
by post
|
Please note that entries for the 2009 competition are now closed.
Here's
what you need to do
-
Read
the conditions of entry carefully, and follow them to the letter.
-
Download the entry form to send with your entry.
-
Double
check that you are not identified on your poem/s. We're constantly amazed by how
many people send in entries with their names on, which we have to disqualify.
-
Make
sure that you have included either your email address or a stamped,
self-addressed envelope (marked 'results'). We want send you a breakdown of the results even if
you're not among the winners.
-
If you want a free, tick box critique, you'll need to enclose an SAE for it, and mark it 'TB'. To qualify, your entry must be postmarked before November 1st.
-
Please make your cheque out to The Plough Arts Centre.
-
Put your poem/s, entry form, SAEs (if sent) and payment in a strong
envelope (ideally one into which your entry will fit without being
folded more than once). Please be sure to stamp it correctly
- we receive a large number of understamped entries, which will normally be returned to sender unopened. Please do not reinforce your envelope heavily with tape: it's not necessary, and we'll have to use scissors to open it, risking damage to the contents.

Send
it to:
